Meet Your Therapist
Skye Wyrick
Skye lives in Montana and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked with children and families since 2014 in a variety of settings, including schools, homes, and private practice.
She received her Master of Social Work in 2014 from the University of North Dakota, and primarily uses a treatment modality called Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. As a CBT focused therapist, Skye helps her client to learn and understand the deep connection between thoughts, behaviors and actions and how to to acknowledge and alter thoughts according to set goals. As we begin to recognize this connection, our control over ourselves strengthens.
Skye also intertwines mindfulness and breath work into her practice regularly as she believes each of us have a powerful mind and body connection. Most importantly, Skye believes in a client-led approach to therapy, meaning she is willing to meet her client where they are, set goals together and move forward at their own pace. Joining into therapy should always be a safe and open space.
Skye spends most of her time working with teens and pre-teens, learning to cope with and understand symptoms of anxiety and depression, managing ADHD, supporting self- advocacy, learning self- regulating skills and living with trauma.
Skye is licensed to practice in Colorado (CO License 09928397) and Montana (MT License 70523) as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
When she’s not meeting with clients, Skye is found with her husband, daughter, and doodle, usually outside hiking, camping, adventuring, and having fun together.
